According to a report published in the daily news, the city council of Harare passed a resolution to establish an agency of real estate.
The officer of Principal communications, Innocent Ruwende, revealed that all properties belonging to city fathers were audited and consequently a decision was made.
Ruwende told the publication that the decision to create a real estate agency was made after thorough investigations, the results of which were placed’ a meeting by the council. This was so that the city’s property network could be managed and provide accountability for all the buildings.
Nine thousand houses were spread all over the council, and Mbare, Mabvuku, Milton Park, and Borrowdale were all covered. The job of the estate agent, now, would be to look after every property on rent, which was initially burdensome on city fathers.
